Nu-Wave Oven Pro:
1. What is Triple Combo Cooking (TCC) power?
The TCC combines the three cooking methods.
Conduction is the heat that is applied directly to the food.
Convection is the circulated hot air, produced by our quiet motor and a specially designed fan. They allow the heat to distribute evenly for faster cooking and even browning.
Infrared is simply a form of gentle, invisible radiant heat. It penetrates the inside of foods while also cooking from the outside, leaving foods moist and flavorful yet browned to perfection. Hearthware's specially patented coating over the custom made heating rod enhances the Nu-Wave Oven's unique infrared capabilities. The concept is similar to the warmth of the sun's rays felt on your skin. As a matter of fact, about 80% of the sun's rays consist of these infrared rays. The same principle applies to our Nu-Wave Oven, only on a smaller scale. Restaurants have been using this heat for years to keep foods warm.
2. I saw an infomercial for the Flavor Wave Deluxe. What is the difference between the Flavor Wave Deluxe and the Nu-Wave Oven?
The Flavor Wave Deluxe is an imitation of the Nu-Wave Oven.
Only the Nu-Wave Oven features the locking devise, which securely holds the dome, and the power head in place even when the oven gets hot this is an important safety feature.
The Nu-Wave Oven uses a long lasting 1500 Watt sheath heater much like most conventional ovens; whereas, the Flavor Wave Deluxe uses 1220 watt halogen bulb similar to those found in household lamps and with the Flavor Wave halogen bulb if grease spatters it will most likely create smoke. Not to mention, the life span of this halogen bulb is short.
The Nu-Wave Oven has a lightweight liner pan whereas the Flavor Wave deluxe has a heavy glass bottom pan that becomes hot after cooking.
Nu-Wave Oven is the only countertop infrared oven to receive the prestigious gold medal for performance from the American Culinary Institute 6 years running since 2000.
